Ross Dress for Less will open its third Maui store at Lahaina Gateway, along with Ace Hardware and The Club Maui fitness center, occupying a total of 54,942 square feet of space at the Foodland Farms-anchored West Maui retail center, according to The Festival Cos.
Ross Dress for Less, which has stores in Kahului and Kihei, will open in the 18,620-square-foot space at Lahaina Gateway that was vacated by OfficeMax.
Ace Hardware, which will open in early 2019, will take the 18,500-square-foot space vacated by Barnes & Noble last year. The bookseller recently signed a long-term lease for 14,000 square feet in the Maui Marketplace in Kahului.
The Club Maui will open later this summer on the second level in a 14,506-square-foot space, and will have a 3,316-square-foot space for a Crossfit Maui facility on the lower level.
“Adding these new retailers is the initial phase of The Festival Cos.’ ongoing revitalization of Lahaina Gateway that will increase customer traffic and drive sales,” Sandra Brown, Lahaina Gateway’s property manager, said in a statement. “With our managing company’s vigorous repositioning design, we will continue to draw additional tenancy with a dynamic mix of in-demand offerings for our customers.”
In addition to Foodland Farms, Lahaina Gateway’s other national and local tenants include Foot Locker, Local Motion, Claire’s Boutique, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers and The Vitamin Shoppe.
